The Writing Way was selected as a Best Home Based Business of the Year for the 2008 Smoot awards by the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce in Provo, Utah. The awards were presented on Tuesday, May 14, 2008. The Smoot awards are a 20-year tradition in Provo, Utah, honoring businesses and citizens throughout the community. Highlight of the night was the presentation of Citizens of the Year award to Harry W. and Karma Startup, of Provo.
